ASUS A7V333 and Windows XP SP2

I recently attempted to Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 on the A7V333 and ran into several hangs during the install. Here is my set of tips:

Remove everything
I mean everything... every expansion card... every drive you don't need... everything.
Disable everything
I mean everything here too. Go through the manual and disable all the on-board stuff.. The RAID, the USB ports (both sets), the firewire, the audio... everything
Set the BIOS interrupt type to PIC
Until I made this change, the setup would hang at "Setup is starting Windows" or it would hand at the "Installing devices" during an upgrade at 34 minutes remaining.

After this, Windows XP installed fine. Once it is installed and booting, you can then enable RAID, USB, firewire, and audio, and reinstall the expansion boards. You can even try setting the interrupt type back to APIC, but if Windows fails to boot, change it back to PIC.
